What are labor/statutory holidays?
Statutory Holiday, also known as "Labor Holiday" or "Blue-collar Holiday", is a statutory holiday under the Hong Kong Law.Employment OrdinanceUnder the Ordinance, all employees are entitled to at least 14 days of statutory holidays per year, which will be gradually increased to 17 days in the future.
Irrespective of the length of service, all employees, including part-time employees, foreign domestic helpers and blue-collar workers, are entitled to labor holidays. Employers are responsible for arranging statutory/labor holidays for their employees regardless of whether they meet the "continuous contract" requirement. However, it should be noted that an employee must have been employed under a continuous contract for 3 months before he/she is entitled to be paid for the day before the statutory holiday.
What is a general holiday?

5. Chung Yeung Festival (October please 2 release 5)
The 2025 Chung Yeung Festival falls on a Wednesday, so if you choose to take 2 days off on either Oct. 27-28 or Oct. 30-31, you will receive 5 consecutive days off from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2.
6. Christmas (December 3-9)
